AN INTERACTIVE ACOUSTIC CONCERT By Apple Tree

A blues musician once said that going on stage it’s not your job to get the audience to know you – it’s your job to already know them and play that to them. I guess that’s why we project ourselves onto who/whatever we see on stage.

Laura Lavenders band Apple Tree enjoys to meddle with how we perceive and interact with a performance space through the lens of song writing. Especially the relation between the performer and the audience is of interest.

For this performance at Galleri TESE the audience will be invited to anonymously answer some questions on paper*, which will then function as introductions to each song.

The concert will unamplified and consist of voice and spanish guitar. This way everyones voice will be level – should it be spoken or not.

*The event will mainly be in English but it is possible to answer the questions in Danish. It is also not obligatory to answer the questions. Some of the songs will also be in Danish.
